3 Choices You'Ll Have To Make When Designing A Walk-In Glass Shower

Posted on

A walk-in shower can be a great addition to your bathroom. A walk-in glass shower doesn't require a door or curtains; you can literally just walk into the shower. A walk-in glass shower can help open up your bathroom space. When you design your walk-in shower, there are a few specific design choices you'll need to make.

Type of Nozzle

The first thing that you need to determine is what type of nozzle do you want in your shower. What type of showerhead do you want? You can install a showerhead that is large and square and will let down a lot of water over a large area, or you can have a more traditional shower head that has a more focused stream of water.

Where do you want the showerhead located? You can go with the traditional location on the wall, or you can have the showerhead handing down from the ceiling. The location of the showerhead will impact the flow and feel of the water when you take a shower.

How many showerheads do you want? Do you want just one shower head, or do you want to have dual shower heads? Dual showerheads allow you to enjoy more water and allow two people to comfortably shower at the same time.

Do you want a handheld showerhead? It can be nice to have a showerhead that you can switch to that you can move all over your body.

Choose the Type of Glass

The second thing you need to choose is the type of glass that you want your shower to be made of. You can go with clear glass or colored glass. From there, you can choose to install plain glass, patterned glass, or textured glass. Each choice you make will change the appearance of your shower.

If you want a more open shower, go with plain, clear glass. If you want more of a feeling of privacy, go with patterned or textured glass.

Chose the Type of Tile

Third, you need to decide what type of tile you want in the shower, on the walls and floors. You can use the same tile on the walls and floors, or you can use different types of tile. You can choose the color and style of the tile, which you want to tie in and work with the overall feel of the bathroom.

When it comes to designing a walk-in glass shower, you will get to choose what type of showerhead you want and where you want the showerhead positions. You will be able to choose the type of glass and tile used to build the walls of your shower.
